VMware – Linux – open-vm-tools

Install the tools

For Ubuntu

apt install open-vm-tools

Some guides may suggest rebooting the Ubuntu server. While this might do the trick … it’s a little heavy handed. Having said that, you are going to want to start the service. 🙂

service open-vm-tools start
